Becky
Products Researcher
I’m a Products Researcher, which means I get the cool job of talking with consumers like you to find out more about the nutrition and innovation you want in our products. From there, I work with a multitude of professionals like nutritionists, veterinarians, engineers and other experts to make your dreams a reality in our products. For me, I can’t imagine a more rewarding job than enhancing the well being of dogs and cats and helping to build that special bond they have with their owners.
Outside of work
Outside of work my life has literally “gone to the dog”! I’ve been actively showing dogs in conformation, obedience and agility since 1998. I also am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
When the dogs and I aren’t competing, I spend my free time hiking, biking, rock climbing, fishing and of course, helping others teach their dog’s basic obedience! I also think volunteering in your community is important and I am a Big Sister for Big Brothers, Big Sisters and do therapy visits at local nursing homes with the dogs.
My Three Amigos!
Gatsby- English Cocker (Downonda’s Uppin’ the Ante RN)
Paige- Portuguese Water Dog (Pouch Cove’s Royal Ascot RN)
Lexi- Bedlington Terrier (CH Jewelbox Tiny Dancer RN)
These are my three young mischief makers. Don’t let those cute faces fool you-they’ve been known to sample electronics, “help” mom garden and of course counter surf! When they aren’t getting into mischief they’re competing in obedience, rally, conformation and agility or visiting people in nursing homes.
In addition to my dogs, I also have two cats Grace and Marilyn. Marilyn and I share a common work history. We both have worked for Iams! Marilyn worked for 5 years taste testing our cat foods before she came to live with me 4 years ago. With her unique appearance and irresistible personality, I knew from the moment I met her she had to come and live with me! She’s my first cat and inspired me to look for a friend for her. Grace is a British Shorthair that came to me at 5 months old after being diagnosed with juvenile cataracts. I’m pretty sure Grace thinks she’s one of the canines in the house and knows a few tricks and begs for treats with the dogs!
