9/9/2011 UPDATE: Rescheduled for 9/25! Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon
****UPDATE as of 9/9/2011****
Due to the power outage, and subsequent sewage spill, the Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 25th. The safety of the surfing dogs, and of course their humans, comes first~ besides, it’s just more time to practice and raise more money for Helen Woodward Animal Center!!

This Sunday, September 11th will be the 6th Annual Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon, presented by Helen Woodward Animal Center.
This year, Eukanuba is sponsoring Dr. Jessica’s dog (you know her as Dr. V from Pawcurious) “Brody” a Golden Retriever. This is his first time surfing! He will be sporting his own hip Eukanuba pink rash guard. Dr. V will also have a Eukanuba Pink rash guard of her own! Besides, who doesn’t want matching rash guards, especially with their surfing dog?!
Dr. V put together a fun video as part one of the Hang 20 Surf Dog Experience as she and Brody explore what it means to live healthy:

Vice President of Morris Animal Foundation talks about Eukanuba
This is Paul Raybould, executive vice president of Morris Animal Foundation. Our goal is to Create a Healthier Tomorrow for Animals. Talking about healthy animals, meet Kobe (2 years old) and Celia (5 years old), the red heads in my family. My wife, Susan, and I have had Irish setters for the past 20 years. Our dogs have been our friends, working dogs and canine soul mates. Kobe and Celia are retired show dogs and love nothing better than running in the off-leash area of a Colorado state park that abuts our home in Denver, CO.

We have fed our dogs many different types of dog food over the years and about six months ago, we switched Kobe and Celia to Eukanuba Adult Maintenance diet. We also mix in Eukanuba wet food and feed Eukanuba treats. We were really impressed with the switch with respect to the improved condition of their coats, especially Celia’s. Celia’s coat started to come alive within 2-3 weeks of switching her food from another premium brand*—it was a shinier, deeper red and her mild skin flaking was gone. She looks like a puppy again. Woo-hoo, Eukanuba!
*OmegaCoat® ingredients promote a soft, healthy coat with an adjusted ratio of fatty acids. The proper balance also supports the natural healing process for healthy skin and a shiny coat. With the correct balance of fatty acids, skin moisture is maintained and the coat develops properly.
Story from Mary Ann Leonard
1. What pets share your life?
I share my life with several Gordon Setters: Paige and her two sons, Buck and Isaac, plus Lottie, Teddy, Zena, and Mattie. PJ is currently living with his handler, who shows him.
2. What is one of your most memorable experiences with your pet?
In June 2009, PJ won All Breed Best in Show and I was there to see him win!!
3. Tell us about your experience on Eukanuba and why you feed the product.
I have fed Eukanuba food exclusively for over ten years. My Gordon Setters have beautiful black shiny coats, carry wonderful weight, have great energy, and carry an aura of good health that comes from within.
